Great Gatsby questions

So i just read one of my friends post and it made me think. Yesterday when i walked home i had my head down as i was walking a sweet elderly person passed by me and said "HI NICE TO MEET YOU I HOPE YOU HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY'' And just like that he left i obviosly said hi and everything back but come to think of it there's not a lot of people in the world who would do that usally people just walk past you like if they are in a hurry. That nice elderly person made my day.
