Great Gatsby Essay
The Great Gatsby is a book which it brings attention to many readers. The book was basiclly based off on the american dream.The american dream,was something that was very prominent in the story as it shows threw the betrayal deaths and heartbreak.The story shows how they each are trying to reach the dream of big houses ,spouses,and wealth. Each character wants this dream they each seem to have it but are missing something. The book gives us this explanation of the american dream but what I see is what brings them all down . I think that the american dream is a great thing but it can have its downsides and this story shows how it became a tragedy. This starts off with the main character of the story Nick Carraway who is chasing his dream.He moves to the big city of New York after he finished his services. Nick heard many stories about Gatsby who seems to have it all hes rich,had many admirers. It seems that Gatsby himself has already acheived the american dream.
